Kaley Bell – Consilio

Est. reading time: 4 mins

Typically, if a company experiences a data breach, that company sees it as an emergency requiring immediate attention to protect its—and its clients’ and customers’—information. When the issue is resolved, the company moves forward. At Consilio, however, any such data breaches could result in a complete loss of client trust, which is why Consilio focuses […]

Eric Peterson – VensureHR

Est. reading time: 5 mins

Prudency may be the reason same-day e-commerce behemoths outsource the actual moving of packages. So says Eric Peterson, and he seems to have much insight. “It’s awfully hard to stay compliant with the rules of so many jurisdictions,” he says. “Especially in California, and other places are becoming just as complex. Seattle has its own […]

Susie Wu-Dare – Mercer

Susie Wu-Dare knew early on that the contracting process at Mercer needed a digital facelift. With significant numbers of global clients—many in the U.S.—she and her legal colleagues were inundated with contract reviews. “Streamlining and digitalizing this process is imperative not only to reduce risks and human error but also to optimize team performance,” she […]

Neil Blecher – Capgemini

Purchasing a new outfit for a night out or trying tapas at a hot new restaurant shouldn’t be thwarted by something as seemingly ordinary as stairs or a paper menu. However, many Americans experience these daily obstacles. The Americans with Disabilities Act, passed in July 1990, seeks to lessen these by legally requiring companies to […]

With many companies operating remotely because of the COVID-19 pandemic, some have reevaluated their need for office space or extensive travel. At Heidrick & Struggles, Kelly Crosier and the legal department have created a committee to do just that. In the spring of 2021, the committee on environmental, social and governance published its first report. […]

Lindsay Usherwood – Usherwood Office Technology

Est. reading time: 4 mins

Alarms alert of a home break in, but if someone breaks into your computer, when—and if—you discover the breach, hackers may have already sold highly sensitive data. For companies, such breaches can result in millions of damages, not to mention a loss of public trust. As a third-generation employee at her family’s office information technology […]

Thomas Peistrup – InStyler

Est. reading time: 4 mins

Bedhead, helmet hair, frizz—hair’s not easy to tame. Neither, it turns out, are the tools used to battle it. As Thomas Peistrup explains, the hair straighteners, curling irons, blow dryers and other devices made by InStyler have become so popular that consumers aren’t the only admirers. Counterfeiters, too, want to tame your mop. The Max […]

The piece highlighting my company, Bob Baker Enterprises, Inc., came out fabulous. Our company is in the new and used car sales and service industry. Everyone was great to work with and extremely professional. They produced a high-quality product and have provided expert assistance and guidance post-production of the article.
– Wade Poulson, General Counsel, Bob Baker Enterprises Inc.
As promised in advance, my feature in Vanguard has increased my visibility within the profession and prompted more than a few people I have not communicated with recently to reconnect. One of the Italian law firms I have used in the past is now in the process of interviewing me for an article on their website and tweeting out the feature story. Activity and the number of people connecting with me on LinkedIn has soared, which is great. The Vanguard writers and editorial staff were great to work with—highly professional and made the effort to make the experience both fun and rewarding (they were also respectful of the time pressures and demands all lawyers face). I was very pleased with the experience and the final outcome. Needless to say, I have been very pleased. All in all working with Vanguard has been a very positive experience which generated good publicity for both Shawcor and myself. My sincere thanks.
– Tim Hutzul, General Counsel, ShawCor Ltd.
I was honored to be the subject of an article. I enjoy reading Vanguard articles and seeing how other attorneys got to their positions and see their jobs. It's also interesting to see how different law firms partner with the subjects of the articles.
– Henry Marquard, in-house counsel, Stanley Consultants Inc.
It was a great honor to be featured in Vanguard Law. Working with every member of the team, from the initial interview with Erin Clark, through production with Victor Martins, writing the article with Taryn Plumb and creating the final content with Dave Gushee, was a true pleasure. Everyone was very professional, enthusiastic and supportive, and their creative approach and positive attitude clearly came through in the final product.
– Kevin C. Rakowski, Senior Vice President, Deputy General Counsel, Compliance with Radian Group Inc.
