Gail Richardson Job – Consolidated Edison Company of New York

There’s no price on reputation, and Consolidated Edison Company of New York Inc. will spend to defend its name. So emphasizes Gail Richardson Job, who’s soon to celebrate her 22nd anniversary as an assistant general counsel at the New York City-headquartered energy company commonly known as Con Edison. Litigation being her role, she leads a […]

Ricky Johnson – Silicon Ranch

Ricky Johnson knows sustainability requires long-term commitment and partnership. That’s why Silicon Ranch immerses in the local communities where it builds, owns and operates solar facilities, he says. Instead of building and leaving, the company stays for the life of the project, which can be up to 40 years. As general counsel, Johnson makes sure […]

Courtney Kamlet – Vontier

When you’re preparing a company to go public, the demands can be overwhelming: burning the midnight oil, drafting and editing disclosure documents, meeting with key players—all in an effort to launch a new company. That makes success even sweeter when the piece come together, says Courtney Kamlet, vice president, associate general counsel and corporate secretary […]

Robert Bryson Carter – Cone Health

Robert Bryson Carter knew he was in for a sea change when Cone Health began to shift from volume-based to value-based health care about a decade ago. Joe Oczkowski – Consolidated Engineering Company

Sometimes, it’s just time to move on. Certainly, that’s what Joe Oczkowski realized after 21 years as a senior vice president and chief general counsel for Consolidated Engineering Company. The pivotal moment, he says, was realizing there were limitations for him to grow there. “I’m going to continue to build my knowledge in contract and […]

Chris Correnti – AGC America, Inc.

In running the legal team serving seven manufacturing businesses, Chris Correnti—president, CEO and general counsel for AGC America—says there’s one thing he values now more than ever: flexibility. That sentiment was put to the test during the pandemic. Given the economic variables during COVID-19, Correnti says making sound business decisions is a matter of information […]

Kristen Hughes – Elevate Textiles

The textile mills of today are a far cry from those of the 19th century, before countries shifted from agrarian to urban industrial economies. Before the shift, weary workers found little solace from working in poor and often dangerous conditions, typically for low wages and long hours. These days, new technologies, better business and labor […]

Timothy Norton – Health First

In early August, Timothy Norton’s phone started ringing off the hook—and the news wasn’t good. As system vice president, associate general […]

Jeff Tuck – Summit Medical Group

As a young nurse interested in healthcare administration, Jeff Tuck recalls a pivotal conversation with an executive at a Tennessee hospital a few decades ago. “We need people in healthcare who understand law, and we need lawyers who understand healthcare,” Tuck was told. “I have conversations with lawyers who don’t understand when I say, ‘we […]

As promised in advance, my feature in Vanguard has increased my visibility within the profession and prompted more than a few people I have not communicated with recently to reconnect. One of the Italian law firms I have used in the past is now in the process of interviewing me for an article on their website and tweeting out the feature story. Activity and the number of people connecting with me on LinkedIn has soared, which is great. The Vanguard writers and editorial staff were great to work with—highly professional and made the effort to make the experience both fun and rewarding (they were also respectful of the time pressures and demands all lawyers face). I was very pleased with the experience and the final outcome. Needless to say, I have been very pleased. All in all working with Vanguard has been a very positive experience which generated good publicity for both Shawcor and myself. My sincere thanks.
– Tim Hutzul, General Counsel, ShawCor Ltd.
It was a great honor to be featured in Vanguard Law. Working with every member of the team, from the initial interview with Erin Clark, through production with Victor Martins, writing the article with Taryn Plumb and creating the final content with Dave Gushee, was a true pleasure. Everyone was very professional, enthusiastic and supportive, and their creative approach and positive attitude clearly came through in the final product.
– Kevin C. Rakowski, Senior Vice President, Deputy General Counsel, Compliance with Radian Group Inc.
I was honored to be the subject of an article. I enjoy reading Vanguard articles and seeing how other attorneys got to their positions and see their jobs. It's also interesting to see how different law firms partner with the subjects of the articles.
– Henry Marquard, in-house counsel, Stanley Consultants Inc.
The piece highlighting my company, Bob Baker Enterprises, Inc., came out fabulous. Our company is in the new and used car sales and service industry. Everyone was great to work with and extremely professional. They produced a high-quality product and have provided expert assistance and guidance post-production of the article.
– Wade Poulson, General Counsel, Bob Baker Enterprises Inc.
